Red Lipstick

I’m always looking for a good lipstick. I have found 4 red lipsticks that will fit any budget and would look great on you for date night!

The first color that I tried was Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm in Striking, this lipstick sells for around $8.00. I was pretty surprised that a balm could have a matte look, but it did. I liked the matte look with the balm-like feel, it was easy to apply as well. This matte balm had a little bit of an orange undertone. You can purchase this lipstick at Target or your local grocery store.

I also tried Wet N’ Wild’s lipstick in the color Red Velvet. This color had more of a semi-matte look and orangey-red color. I didn’t love this lipstick even though the color was bright, it had a cheap feel to it and dried out my lips. However it was only $1.59. so, If you are new to wearing lipstick this would be a good color to try out and then decide if this is the type of color for you. This lipstick was purchased at Smith’s grocery.

Rimmel London’s Kate Moss lipstick in Kiss of Fire was a very bright lipstick and I really liked that. The color was pretty and rich and the lipstick smelled like flowers. It was easy to apply and would glide on easy. This lipstick was around $7.00. This color can be purchased at Target, Ulta and even your local grocery store.

The last lipstick that I tried, which happens to be my favorite is from Dose of Colors in Merlot. This lipstick goes on as a liquid and dries matte. It’s long lasting and you could get away with only one application. The color is really pigmented and a pretty red color, it’s true to the bright red and doesn’t have any orange undertones. It retails for 18.00 plus shipping. This lipstick needs to be purchased online. (Click here).

Either way, you can’t go wrong with a classic red lip!
