Things quickly changed when my oldest son was born. Shortly after his birth, the on call pediatrician noticed that my son had a few different characteristics (it’s not really anything you can see with the untrained eye). These characteristics led to my son being diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (you can read more about it here). Suddenly my world was turned upside down, and I constantly found myself thinking that I just could’t do it. I can’t be a good mom, I can’t have a special needs child, I can’t do all of this therapy, I can’t understand what my baby needs. My son is now 8 and it’s taken awhile for me to get here, but I’ve realized that actually I CAN, and I am so much stronger because of him. I believe that all of us go through times or moments in our life when we question if we can go forward or not. It is important to remember that we can continue on. I loved all of the tribe necklaces from Cents of Style, but chose this one because it serves as a daily reminder to myself that I can and will go forward.
You can grab this necklace or something similar this weekend for only $11.99. use this link here to grab one for you or a loved one.
This necklace also spoke to me. Don’t forget to see the daily miracles in your life.
“Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.”
― C.S. Lewis
Do you have a story? I want to hear it. Let me know what necklace spoke to you and why?
