If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life is tough but so am I and so are YOU!
Two years ago I sustained a foot injury that made me test that statement. I ended up having to have major foot surgery and my foot has pretty much never been the same since. Let me tell you, the first year was tough! Recovery was tough. Having to slow down was tough. Being physically limited was tough. I had to do numerous sessions of physical therapy, and there were many times when I was so discouraged. I walked with a limp (something that I couldn’t control) for about 8 months and it was so hard for me. As hard as this was for me I was determined to not give up. I kept up on my physical therapy and paced myself, which was probably the toughest thing for me. When I sustained my injury I was in the process of training for a half marathon. I’ve had to re learn how to use my “new” foot and realize that I won’t be able to run a half marathon anytime soon. This challenge in my life has also brought many positive experiences in my life. I’ve realized that I’m tougher than I ever thought I was. I’m happy to say that I’ve recently started jogging again, and I’ve been able to wear some heels again (which was impossible 1 year ago).
I want you to know that we all have situations in our life that challenge us. Sometimes we need those challenges to help us realize how tough we are! I’ve loved this shirt from Cents of Style, it’s my own personal reminder of how far I’ve come.

These shirts are easy to style so many different ways too……
Pair your shirt with some cute floral sneakers and a jean vest. Some easy additions to switch up your outfit.
I got these floral sneakers from Target last year, and love them. I wear them more than I thought I would when I first bought them. They have some cute ones at Target this year too.
Get your flannel and booties out, it is Fall after all and pair it with your tee. Even though it’s Fall it can still be quite warm here in Utah, so just tie it around your waist if you need too. I’m loving that trend. Plus when it does get chilly you can put your flannel shirt on, it looks great with a t-shirt like this.
Layering. Add you flannel shirt and vest and voila!
It’s easy to get a few outfits out of some pieces in your closest that you probably already own.
